Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro made his first appearance of the 2026/2027 season on Friday, 21 August 2026.

The 41-year-old No. 7 moved one step closer to the 1,000-goal mark in his career.

He came off the bench to put the finishing touch on Al-Nassr's 4-0 victory over Al-Riyadh in the second round of the Saudi Pro League.

In the first half, Al-Nassr — now under the management of Ange Postecoglou — were completely in control of the game.

And it was a Brazilian who stood out.

Angelo whipped in an excellent corner for Al Amri to score in the 18th minute.

Then the forward developed at Santos got on the scoresheet himself in the 46th minute.

The third goal arrived in the second half, with Joao Felix producing a classy finish in the 58th minute.

CR7 was introduced in the 62nd minute.

Before scoring, he had already tested goalkeeper Borjan and even attempted an overhead kick.

Then came Ayman's pass. Ronaldo turned away from his marker and ran off to celebrate.

It was career goal No. 977, scored in the 83rd minute.

Al-Nassr moved on to six points. Al-Riyadh, coached by Brazilian Mauricio Dulac, are still without a point and remain at the bottom of the table.
