It has started from Ayodhya, where the District Basic Education Officer has issued an order banning the entry of outsiders and video recording in schools without permission. Apart from this, information about similar strictness has also come to light in many districts including Ballia, Azamgarh, Balrampur, Basti, Shamli and Agra. Now the question is why did the government take such a decision?
Officials say that some people reach schools without permission and make videos of teachers and children and post them on social media. This affects children's education and also raises questions about their privacy and security. The government argues that schools are places of education and it is necessary to control the activity of any outsider there. Especially pictures or videos of minor children being shared on social media without permission can be a matter of concern. But after this decision of the government, the opposition has raised questions.
The opposition says that if everything is going well in government schools, then why the problem of cameras reaching there, does the government not want the ground reality of the schools to be revealed to the public, the opposition alleges that if there are no teachers in government schools, there are not enough facilities for children or there is any deficiency in the system of schools, then these issues come to the fore through social media and journalism. In such a situation, banning the making of videos without permission will raise questions as to what exactly the government wants to prevent from being seen?
However, let it also be made clear here that the reason given by the government for this decision is the safety, privacy and learning environment of the children and it is not just about YouTubers. The scope of the order applies to all outsiders. That is, if any journalist, media organization or social media creator wants to go to the school and do reporting, then he will have to take permission first.

Now the real question is whether this decision is a necessary step for the safety of children or an attempt to prevent the shortcomings of government schools from being caught on camera? Because the privacy and safety of children is important, but it is equally important to highlight the problems of schools. In such a situation, how the balance will be struck between monitoring and transparency remains to be seen.
