During investigation, live cockroaches were found crawling in the kitchen and there were no concrete pest control measures. There was rotten wet garbage on the floor, refrigeration temperature was not up to standards and employees were serving ready food directly without washing hands after touching dirty clothes and shoes. Not only this, irregularities to the use of non-dairy sauces amidst the claims of genuine cheese and paneer also came to light, after which the FSSAI license was suspended. South Mumbai's historic Bombay Presidency Radio Club and Status Restaurant at Nariman Point have also come under the scanner for gross negligence action against Radio Club and Nariman Point restaurants. A large number of flies, dead cockroaches and paint and plaster peeling from the ceiling of the cooking area were found in the kitchen of the Radio Club. Washing powder and chemicals were kept right next to the food items and there were open dustbins near the cooking stoves. In an investigation conducted on the complaint of a customer in Status Restaurant, an employee was found to be washing his face over clean utensils, due to which dirty water was falling on the utensils. Immediate action was taken against all of them when they were found to be in gross violation of minimum standards of cleanliness (SOP). The administration has given a clear warning that whether it is a small roadside vendor or an international multinational brand, any institution playing with the health of the general public will not be spared. Unless these establishments pass re-inspection by meeting all the prescribed standards of hygiene and safety, they will be strictly prohibited from cooking, selling or delivering food.
