New Delhi: Questions were raised on the examination system due to power failure during the All India Ayush PG Entrance Test (AIAPGET) at Sri Satya Sai PG College, Jaipur on Saturday. Let us tell you that due to power failure during the examination to be conducted in online mode, many candidates had to face problems. Some students left the center without completing the examination.
In how many shifts was the exam conducted?
The first shift of the exam was scheduled from 10 am to 12 noon. It is being told that the power at the center went out at around 10:15 pm. After this, efforts were made to streamline the examination system, but the problem could not be completely resolved. This affected the second innings also. In the second shift, candidates were to be allowed to enter the examination center from 1 pm to 2:30 pm. However, due to electricity problem, the online examination could not start on time and many candidates kept waiting outside till around 3 pm.
During this period, questions were also raised regarding the college system. Although an attempt was made to run the generator after the power failure, it was found that there was no diesel in it. After this, another generator was called for, but that too could not be started due to a technical fault. Later a third generator was brought, but even that could not restore power supply immediately.
49 candidates will have re-examination
Taking the matter seriously, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has decided to conduct re-examination for the affected candidates. According to NTA, in the first shift of AIAPGET on August 22, 35,837 candidates appeared for the examination at 200 centers across the country. Of these, 35,788 candidates have completed their paper. A total of 192 candidates appeared in the examination at Sri Satya Sai PG College Center in Jaipur. Of these, 49 candidates could not complete the examination due to power failure.
NTA has decided to conduct the examination again for these 49 candidates on 1 September 2026 at 10 am. The re-exam will be held at Rajasthan College of Engineering for Women, Jaipur. According to the agency, further information will be given to the candidates through the revised admit card.
