According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), rain ranging between light and moderate fell on Saturday on Khatm Al Shakla road and on some areas in Al Ain and Fujairah regions, while light to moderate rain fell on Bani Yas and the suburbs of Abu Dhabi.
In this regard, Abu Dhabi City Municipality announced, on Friday, the closure of all gardens and entertainment parks, and its affiliated beaches, and the suspension of all events until further notice, due to the expected weather fluctuations and out of concern for the safety of community members.
Abu Dhabi Police also called on drivers to exercise caution due to the rainy weather conditions, and to adhere to the variable speed limit shown on the signs and electronic guidance boards, as it activated the speed reduction system to 80 km/h on the Bu Krayyah- Umm Az Zumul road in Al Ain region.
The NCM expects Sunday's weather to be clear to partly cloudy, at times, with clouds appearing eastward in the afternoon, and humid, at night and on Monday morning, over some coastal areas. The winds will be southeasterly becoming northwesterly light to moderate speed, active at times, with a speed of 10 to 20 km/h, amounting to 35 km/h, while the waves will be light in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of Oman.
