Glasner takes charge of his first competitive match since being appointed by Forest last month, having departed Crystal Palace at the end of last season after a highly successful two-year spell.

Daniel Farke’s Leeds will be looking to make it a difficult opening day for the Austrian as they aim to continue from where they finished, after comfortably securing safety at the end of last term.

Here is everything you need to know to watch Nottingham Forest vs Leeds United on the opening weekend of the 2026/27 Premier League season.

Nottingham Forest vs Leeds United is not being shown live on television in the UK. The match is scheduled for Saturday at 3pm, a slot during which football matches cannot legally be broadcast in the UK. This is known as the '3pm blackout'.

Outside the UK, the game is available in almost every country worldwide.

If you are away from home at the moment, you do not have to miss Nottingham Forest vs Leeds United.

In the United States, fans can watch Nottingham Forest vs Leeds United on Peacock. Kick-off is at 10:00am ET.

Peacock is NBC’s streaming platform. Along with carrying live streams of NBC matches, it also exclusively shows a number of other Premier League fixtures every week.

Peacock subscriptions start from $12.99 per month, giving viewers roughly half of all Premier League matches each week during the 2026/27 season. There are also savings on annual plans, which begin at $129.99 per year.

In Australia, supporters can stream Nottingham Forest vs Leeds United on Stan Sport. Kick-off is at 12:00am AEST (midnight) on Sunday morning.

Stan Sport is becoming cheaper for 2026/27 thanks to the new Basic with Ads plan, which reduces the monthly price from AU$32 to AU$29.99. For comparison, that works out at roughly £15.50 per month for every Premier League and Champions League match.

You never quite know what to expect from Nottingham Forest under the ownership of Evangelos Marinakis, which makes it difficult to forecast how the Oliver Glasner era will start in this Premier League opener against Leeds United.

The former Crystal Palace manager enjoyed major success at Selhurst Park, but he now joins a club that flirted with relegation last season and sold key midfielder Elliot Anderson to Manchester City for £116m this summer.

Forest spent £34.5m on Ivory Coast centre-back Ousmane Diomande in their marquee signing of the transfer window, but arguably even more significant is the fact they have kept hold of playmaker Morgan Gibbs-White, who scored 15 Premier League goals in 2025/26.

The 26-year-old was surprisingly omitted from England’s World Cup squad, so it would be no surprise if he looks especially motivated to make a statement on the opening day of the new season.

Leeds supporters may travel to the City Ground with quiet confidence after a number of encouraging signings as they seek to build on last season’s 14th-place finish.

England goalkeeper James Trafford has joined from Manchester City for £40m, while Bosnia and Herzegovina defender Tarik Muharemovic has arrived for £34m. The Whites also seem to have secured a couple of bargains, bringing in Borussia Monchengladbach defender Nico Elvedi for just £8.5m and gifted playmaker Harry Wilson on a free transfer from Fulham.

All four players could make their competitive debuts against Forest, although left-back Gabriel Gudmundsson and winger Willy Gnonto are both unavailable because of injury.

With their usual loud travelling support behind them, Leeds will feel they can make an early statement and achieve something they managed only twice last season: win a league match away from home.

Nottingham Forest 1-1 Leeds United

The Whites look well set to take at least a point from this game, and it would not be a shock if they came away with all three.
