Raigad Crossers edged Mumbai Snipers 55-53 in a thrilling boys' match at the Basketball Development League in Goregaon. Salman Shaikh scored 27 points and Ibrahim Qureshi added 14, including the decisive final two. Mumbai Snipers and South Mumbai Maniacs won their respective girls' matches.
Mumbai, August 22, 2026: Raigad Crossers held their nerves to overcome Mumbai Snipers by a thrilling 55-53 (HT: 16-18) margin in a boys' match of the Olympia Sports & Events organised 1st Badminton Development League (BDL), Mumbai edition, played at VIBGYOR High School, Goregaon West, on Saturday.
The BDL is conducted under the auspices of the North Mumbai District Basketball Association (NMDBA) and the Maharashtra State Basketball Association (MSBA).
This is a first-of-its-kind franchise-based grassroots basketball league dedicated to identifying, developing, and promoting the next generation of basketball talent across Mumbai and Maharashtra.
