Lucknow. An awareness and pledge program was organized under the “Drug Free India Campaign” in the capital Lucknow by the School of Management Sciences (SMS), Lucknow in collaboration with Prajapita Brahma Kumari Ishwariya Vishwavidyalaya, Lucknow. The objective of the program was to make the youth aware of the ill effects of drugs and to motivate them for a healthy, peaceful and drug-free life. In the program Prof. (Dr.) Bharat Raj Singh, Director General (Technical), while welcoming the guests and the students present, highlighted the important role of youth in building a drug-free society.

In her address, Radha Didi discussed in detail the increasing side effects of drug addiction, especially on the young generation, the physical, mental and social problems caused by it and the measures to prevent it. He also made the students do a brief meditation exercise, which helped them experience mental peace, concentration and positive energy. B.K. Rahul explained the importance of channelizing positive energy in the right direction through yoga and sadhana.
He said that regular yoga, meditation and self-discipline can be helpful in channelizing the youth's energy into constructive work while keeping them away from negative tendencies. In the program B.K. Dr. A.P. Pandey and B.K. Meenakshi had a dignified presence. He along with the students took the oath of drug-free India. Dr. Dharmendra Singh, Prof. in the program. Many teachers and employees including Mohd. Hussain, Dr. Asha Kulshrestha, Sunit Mishra, Sujata Sinha, Dr. Shobhana Singh were present.
More than 250 students enthusiastically participated in the program and took a pledge to build a drug-free, healthy and positive India. The message of the program was clear that only through the awareness, self-discipline, yoga and meditation of the youth, a strong foundation of a drug-free and healthy society can be laid.
