New Delhi. A 30-year-old dance teacher in southeast Delhi jumped into the Yamuna river after being unable to pay his iPhone installments due to low earnings. Police gave this information. Police said that the incident occurred near Bhola Ghat in Kalindi Kunj area at around 8.30 pm on Friday night. Policemen patrolling the area received information that a person had jumped into the river.
He told that one of his team reached the spot and informed the flood department, after which the rescue team reached there with a boat. That person named Deepak Kumar was pulled out safely from the river. He told that Kumar, who lives in Sanjay Colony of Okhla, works as a dance teacher and also does gardening work. He lives with his wife and two children.
During interrogation, Kumar told the police that his income had reduced in the last few months, making it difficult for him to pay the monthly installments of his iPhone. According to the information, Kumar was under a lot of stress due to financial pressure, after which he took this drastic step.
