It would be difficult for any other Major League Soccer match tonight to top this finish. Unsurprisingly, the main story featured Eastern Conference leaders Nashville.

After going ahead through Hany Mukhtar, the home side then found themselves trailing 2-1 against Columbus Crew deep into stoppage time.

But the men in yellow showed exactly why they sit at the top of the table, producing a display of real champions' resolve to snatch victory right at the end.

Nashville struck not once but twice after the 90-minute mark to seal a 3-2 win. The equaliser and the winning goal arrived just two minutes apart.

Mukhtar first set up full-back Reed Baker-Whiting for a headed finish before fellow full-back Andy Najar fired home into the far-left corner.

It was a remarkable moment for the home supporters.

The night may have become even better for Nashville with Inter Miami dropping points at home. The gap between the two sides now stands at 10 points.
