Mumbai: Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan is back home, resting and recovering after undergoing surgery at a Mumbai hospital recently.
Kartik had suffered a severe knee injury while shooting a high-octane action sequence for Kabir Khan’s upcoming sports drama.
Kartik, who underwent intense physical training with action coaches to prepare for the demanding scenes, was taken to Fortis Raheja Hospital in Mahim after the injury.
“Kartik Aaryan sustained a knee injury while performing an action sequence on the set of his film. His surgery was completed successfully, and he is now back home, resting and recovering. He will be back on set soon,” his spokesperson told ANI.
Kartik is playing a kickboxing coach, who trains a young girl from Kashmir. The story is inspired by the life of young athlete Tajamul Islam.
The yet-to-be-titled film has been shot across Mumbai and Kashmir.
Kartik’s injury came at a time when he was close to completing the film’s shoot.
This is his second collaboration with Kabir Khan after Chandu Champion (2024), for which he won the National Award for Best Actor.
It’s an important project for Kartik as it marks his debut as a film producer. His banner, Dopamine Studios, is co-producing the film with Kabir Khan Films.
