Antoine Griezmann underlined once again why Orlando spent heavily to bring him in, delivering a match-winning display for the home fans on Saturday.
With Orlando trailing Real Salt Lake on home turf, the former World Cup winner struck his first brace in Major League Soccer to make sure all three points remained in Florida.
Griezmann’s first goal came shortly after the 50-minute mark when he burst into the left side of the penalty area and, amid the scramble, tucked away the rebound.
He then found himself in almost the identical area again and tried to flick the ball with a backheel towards a team-mate, only for it to break kindly back into his path.
The French forward reacted instantly, turned smartly and fired in a low effort to make it 2-1.
Purple belongs to the king.
