Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh are scheduled to be held early next year. Before the elections, the heat in the politics of the state is already visible. Working on their own strategy, the parties are intensifying their rhetoric against each other. In this, the report card of the old statements of the leaders and the work done by them is being brought out. Arrows of words are being fired. The heads of the parties are at the forefront of this. Among those who made political attacks are Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, SubhaSP leader OP Rajbhar and RLD chief Jayant Chaudhary.
At present, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav is at the forefront in political rhetoric. Recently he gave a statement regarding Rashtriya Lok Dal President Jayant Chaudhary. After this statement, the politics of UP is still revolving. The former CM took a jibe at Union Minister Jayant and said, 'I don't know from where the alliance people had come. We made Rs. 250/- and yet they left us.
Jayant Chaudhary also responded to Akhilesh Yadav's statement and said, 'Why am I missing him so much, you ask this question to him only. It is good if Akhilesh speaks his mind, but with such statements he is forcing even those who are standing with him to think. There is democracy in the state and the people make everyone.
Actually, Akhilesh Yadav did not just give the statement to Jayant Chaudhary about making rupees from rupees and alliance. Behind this, he has given a message to the public that because of his party, parties like RLD and SubhaSP had got an edge in the state. He has given a statement only regarding the 2022 assembly elections, in which he has talked about making money from Rs.
What is the reality of making rupees from rupees?
Amidst these statements, questions are being raised whether Samajwadi Party had defeated RLD-Suhetdev Bharatiya Samaj Party in the 2022 assembly elections? Because in the last elections, both these parties, limited to some districts, had contested the elections in alliance with SP. It is said that due to being with SP, both the parties were successful in winning more seats.
RLD in 2022 elections
If we talk about the 2022 Assembly, Samajwadi Party had fielded its candidates on 347 seats out of 403, out of which it won 111 seats. SP had given maximum importance to Jayant Chaudhary's Rashtriya Lok Dal in the alliance and given a total of 33 seats. All these 33 seats were from Western Uttar Pradesh. RLD, which has influence in three to five districts, had fielded male candidates on 31 seats and female candidates on two seats. After the election results came out, Jayant's party RLD could win only 8 seats. The party's vote percentage was 2.85 percent.
RLD in 2017 elections
However, in the Rajya Sabha elections held after the elections, Samajwadi Party sent Jayant Choudhary to the Parliament by supporting the RLD with 8 MLAs. However, Jayant Chaudhary later joined BJP and was made a minister in the Modi government. At the same time, in the 2017 elections, RLD had fielded its candidates in 277 assemblies without joining any alliance. But it got only one seat and its vote percentage was only 1.78 percent. If seen from this perspective, RLD had benefited more by being with SP.
How much did Rajbhar's party benefit?
The head of Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party is Om Prakash Rajbhar. He also fought in the 2022 assembly elections in alliance with the Samajwadi Party. In this election, SP had given 19 seats to Rajbhar's party. Out of 19, Subhaspa had won 6 seats. The party's vote percentage in this election was 1.36 percent, which was much more than the 2017 campaign.
In the 2017 elections, OP Rajbhar's party contested the elections with BJP. In this election, BJP had given him 8 seats in the alliance. Subhashpa had won 4 out of eight seats. The party's vote percentage in this election was 0.70 percent. If seen in this manner, in comparison to 2017, OP Rajbhar had gained both seats and vote percentage while being with Samajwadi Party in 2022.
Only a few months are left for the 2027 assembly elections in UP. In such a situation, both Jayant Chaudhary and OP Rajbhar are in alliance with BJP. Both the parties are continuously attacking the Samajwadi Party and are also pressurizing it for seat bargaining with the BJP. But it remains to be seen how many seats BJP gives them.
