'Orange' alert issued in these 14 districts of Bihar and 'Yellow' alert in 10, know the situation for the next 48 hours

Bihar Weather Update: Monsoon is active once again in Bihar. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding rain, strong wind and thunderstorm in 24 districts of the state. Orange alert has been given in some districts and yellow alert in many places.

During this period, there is a possibility of strong winds at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour and heavy rain at some places.

Alert issued in these districts

Orange alert has been issued in Patna, Nalanda, Sheikhpura, Begusarai, Khagaria, Lakhisarai, Munger, Bhagalpur, Kaimur, East Champaran, West Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan and Saran. There is yellow alert in Buxar, Bhojpur, Arwal, Jehanabad, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Gaya, Nawada, Jamui and Banka.

According to the Meteorological Department, the rainy season may continue intermittently in Bihar for the next few days. There is a possibility of relatively more rain in East Champaran, West Champaran and Gaya. In many areas, there may be cloudy sky along with strong winds and lightning.

Concern over rising water level of rivers

The water level of many rivers of the state is rising amid continuous rains. Problems of people living on the banks of other rivers including Ganga may increase. The administration is also being cautious in the coastal and Diara areas.

Weather will remain active on 25th and 26th August also

The Meteorological Department has also issued an alert regarding rain and strong wind in many districts on August 25. After this, there is a possibility of yellow alert in some parts on 26th August also. In such a situation, people have been advised to avoid going in open places and under trees during bad weather and to take special precautions during lightning.
