The three-match T20 series between India and Afghanistan will be played next month. The program was announced earlier. Now, Afghanistan Cricket Board has announced their squad. The Afghanistan team will travel to India next month to play three T20 internationals. Interestingly, all the matches will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, but it will be hosted not by India, but by Afghanistan. Earlier this year, when the Afghan team visited India to play one Test and three ODIs, the Afghanistan Cricket Board also hosted them.
Meanwhile, the team looks very strong. The series is still early, but the board has already announced the squad. Under the captaincy of Ibrahim Zadran, several prominent players have been included, including Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Sadiqullah Atal. The team will include spinner Rashid Khan and players like Noor Ahmed, Fazalhaq Farooqui, Naveen Ul Haq and Abdullah Ahmadzai.
The first match of the series will be played on September 13. The second match will be played on September 15 and the third and final match will be played on September 17. However, there were reports that there might be some changes. It is expected that a match may also be played on Ganesh Chaturthi, which is celebrated on September 14.
