Gold prices in the domestic market closed with gains for the second consecutive day amid weak US dollar and international tensions.

New Delhi: On August 25, a mixed trend was seen in the Indian bullion market. Gold prices in the domestic market closed with gains for the second consecutive day amid weak US dollar and international tensions. On the other hand, due to softening in industrial demand, a slight fall in silver prices was recorded after three days of stability. Due to two consecutive days of rise, the price of 10 grams of 24 carat gold has increased by ₹ 890 and that of 22 carat gold by ₹ 810, while one kg silver is trading cheaper by ₹ 100 in the market.

Main reason for fluctuations in precious metals

According to Gaurav Garg, Research Head, Lemon Markets Desk, the increasing tension between America and Iran has attracted investors towards safe investments.

In the international market, spot gold jumped 1 percent or $42.45 to reach $4,646.54 an ounce. Global silver prices remained around $69 an ounce and their gains slowed down due to sluggish industrial demand.

What is the latest gold price today?

Today in the capital Delhi, Jaipur and Lucknow, 24 carat gold is being sold at the level of ₹ 1,64,130 per 10 grams, 22 carat ₹ 1,50,460 and 18 carat ₹ 1,23,090. Silver situation and market mood in all four metros

Talking about silver prices, after remaining stable for three consecutive days, today one kg silver has fallen by ₹ 100 to ₹ 2,59,900 in Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata. However, due to local demand in Chennai, silver prices are much higher than other metros, where it is selling at ₹2,75,100 per kg. Experts believe that as long as global diplomatic tensions persist, there will be safe demand for gold, while the future path of silver will depend on industrial demand data.
