During naka checking in south Kashmir's Shopian district, Jammu and Kashmir Police along with other security forces claimed to have recovered two hand grenades and five posters suspected to be linked to Hizbul Mujahideen (HM).

According to officials, these items were recovered during security checks as part of intensified anti-militancy measures in the district. Three people riding a motorcycle with number JK18B-6130 have also been arrested in this case.

The arrested people have been identified as Junaid Ahmed Dar, resident of Matulhama, Kulgam, Ameer Yusuf, resident of Chuddar, Kulgam and Junaid Muzaffar, son of Muzaffar Ahmed, resident of Matulhama, Kulgam. Officials said the three suspects are being interrogated to ascertain the circumstances behind the recovery and whether they have any links with militant networks.

Security agencies have started further investigation into the matter after the alleged HM poster was found along with a hand grenade. The motorcycle has also been seized for verification and investigation. The arrested suspects are being interrogated by the police. Besides, information about other people involved in this is also being investigated.
