Lucknow. There is great news for the youth of Uttar Pradesh. Yogi Adityanath government has approved the proposal to purchase 25 lakh tablets under the Swami Vivekananda Youth Empowerment Scheme. In the cabinet meeting chaired by the Chief Minister, the decision to issue purchase orders to the selected companies was taken.
25 lakh youth will get benefits
Under this scheme, tablets will be provided to the eligible youth without any charge. For this, a budget of about Rs 2,374.60 crore has been kept in the current financial year. The tablet will benefit eligible youth pursuing studies or training in various courses like higher education, diploma and skill development.
Help in employment along with studies
The aim of the government is not just to provide digital devices to the youth, but also to connect them with technical resources for studies and career. Through tablets, students will be able to easily access information to online studies, training and government schemes. Apart from this, digital facility can also be helpful in finding employment and self-employment opportunities.
