R.A.S.S in Shantinagar Vinod Tire Gali, Bijpur. The condition of the road connecting Bijpur market via Public School has become very bad these days. As soon as it rains, the entire route gets submerged and takes the form of a pond. It has become difficult for pedestrians to even walk due to knee-deep water accumulation at many places.

This route is a major transportation route for thousands of people in the area. School children, women, elderly, laborers and two-wheeler drivers travel through this route every day. School children are facing the most problems due to waterlogging.

Local resident Amit Kumar said that a similar situation arises every year during the rainy season. Even with a little rain, the road gets flooded and due to lack of proper drainage system, the water remains stagnant for several days. Due to this, the infestation of filth and mosquitoes is also increasing.

Local people say that information about the problem has been given to the Gram Panchayat and concerned officials several times, but till now a permanent solution has not been found. People have demanded from the administration and Gram Panchayat that the road should be raised and a concrete road should be constructed and concrete drains should be made on both the banks for drainage.

This picture of Bijpur Shantinagar during the rainy season has become a question for those responsible that when will people get permanent relief from this waterlogging.
