Bruno Fernandes has been named the 2025-2026 Player of the Season by the Professional Footballers' Association, the players' union for England and Wales. As per L'Equipe, the 31-year-old Manchester United midfielder received the honour after an outstanding campaign.
The Portugal international takes over from Mohamed Salah. He finished the season with nine goals and 21 assists, the highest assist tally ever recorded in a single Premier League season.
Earlier in the evening, Rayan Cherki missed out on the Young Player award, but he still earned a place in the Team of the Year. The former Lyon player is joined there by fellow Frenchman William Saliba.
Arsenal have five players in the XI and Manchester City have four, while Fernandes and Igor Thiago are the only players selected from outside those two clubs.
