Ingredients for Paneer Chilli Stuffed Idli

  • Ingredients for Paneer Chilli Filling: Oil 1 tbsp, Garlic 1 tbsp, Ginger 1 tbsp, Green chilli 1 tbsp, Onion half cup, Capsicum half cup, Soy sauce 1 tbsp, Red chilli sauce 1 tbsp, Vinegar 1 tsp, Black pepper powder a pinch, Salt as per taste, Paneer half cup, Spring onion leaves 1 tbsp
  • Ingredients for Idli: Rava 1 cup, salt as per taste, curd 1 cup, water ¾ cup, fruit salt 1 tsp

How to make Paneer Chilli Stuffed Idli?

  • Heat oil in a pan, add ginger, garlic and green chillies and fry for 1-2 minutes. Add onion and capsicum and sauté for 2 minutes. Add sauce, salt and black pepper powder and fry on high flame for a minute. Add paneer pieces and mix well. Finally add freshly chopped spring onion.
  • Combine rava, salt and curd in a mixing bowl, mix well and keep aside for at least 30 minutes. Gradually add water and beat well, then leave for 15 minutes. Add fruit salt just before steaming the idli.
  • Grease the idli mold with oil or ghee. Fill half the idli batter in the mould, place the chilli paneer mixture in the middle and cover the other half with the batter. Steam the idli for at least 7-8 minutes. Try inserting a toothpick; If it comes out clean, the idli is cooked. Let the idlis cool for 1-2 minutes before removing from the mold. Enjoy this hot idli with traditional coconut chutney.
