Tottenham’s spending this summer has already gone beyond the £300 million mark.

Omar Marmoush is set for a medical after Tottenham and Manchester City agreed a loan move for the Egypt forward that includes an obligation to buy.

It is understood that the obligation is valued at an initial £50 million, along with £5 million in guaranteed add-ons and a further £5 million in additional add-ons.

Marmoush is expected to sign a four-year contract, with Tottenham holding the option to extend it by another 12 months.

It is understood that the Marmoush transfer is separate from the £85 million arrival of his former Manchester City team-mate Savio, who joined Spurs on Tuesday and is available to make his debut in tonight’s Carabao Cup second-round match at home to Charlton.

Despite reports to the contrary, there is no sell-on clause payment due to Marmoush’s former club Eintracht Frankfurt.

Marmoush found it difficult to secure regular minutes last season and made only eight Premier League starts.

He scored eight goals in 36 appearances across all competitions and is arriving at Spurs believing he can move ahead of Richarlison and Dominic Solanke to become Roberto De Zerbi’s first-choice striker.

Marmoush only joined City in January 2025, but he was unable to build on an encouraging start to his Premier League career and quickly slipped down the pecking order.

Spurs, meanwhile, have already taken their summer outlay past £300 million after bringing in Savio, Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes and Jan Paul van Hecke.

De Zerbi has been eager to add Premier League experience to his squad, with the club also completing free transfers for Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi and Martin Dubravka.
