Continuous monitoring of water level of Obra Dam, citizens of coastal villages should remain alert

In view of excessive rainfall during the rainy season, the water level of Obra Dam is being continuously monitored. The full water level (FRL) of the dam is 193.24 metres. In case of heavy rainfall, gates can be opened as per requirement for the safety of the dam, whose water will flow into Son River after covering a distance of about 11 km from Renu River.
District Magistrate Charcharat Gaur has appealed to the citizens of Chakadi, Guruch, Mahalpur, Gothani, Khairtiya, Vardiya and Sinduria villages to be especially cautious and maintain a safe distance from rivers and water flowing areas.
