The total prize money of US Open 2026 is $108 million i.e. approximately Rs.1,033 crore. This amount is 20% more than last year and almost 44% more than 2024. Last year's US Open men's and women's singles winners, Carlos Alcaraz and Aryana Sabalenka, each received $5 million. In 2025, the total prize money received by tournament players was $90 million. This year, the men's and women's singles winners will receive a prize money of $5.5 lakh each, which is approximately Rs 52.66 crore. This would be the largest prize money ever awarded to a Grand Slam singles winner in the history of tennis.
Players who reach the main draw will also be rich
The main event will start on 30th August and will continue till 13th September. 140,000 Lakhs USD approximately Rs. 13.4 crore will get Rs. The quarter finalists will get $780,000 lakhs which is approximately Rs 74.6 crores. 145,000 lakhs to the semi-final losers which is approximately Rs. 138.8 crore will get Rs. The runner-up team will get 28 lakh dollars i.e. approximately Rs 26.80 crores.
1 million dollars for the doubles winners
The winning teams in men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles at the US Open will receive $1 million as prize money. The runner-up team will get $500,000. The prize money for the wheelchair singles winners has also been increased. They will get 1 lakh dollars.
The USTA has announced a new 'Player Support Program', with an initial funding of $2 million. This amount will be divided equally between male and female players. The objective of this program is to provide additional facilities and benefits to the players, as well as support the existing pension fund.
