The Bihar government has launched the 'Balika PhD Fellowship Scheme' for female students in the state. Under this scheme, 1,000 female students will receive financial assistance of ₹10,000 per month.

The Bihar government has initiated the 'Mukhyamantri Balika PhD Fellowship Scheme.' Under this, approximately 1,000 female students in the state will receive financial aid of ₹10,000 per month for four years to support their PhD studies and research. The government has launched this initiative to encourage female students to pursue higher education and research. Additionally, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary announced several other projects aimed at making women self-reliant.

Under the 'Mukhyamantri Balika PhD Fellowship,' the Bihar government will provide ₹10,000 per month to eligible female students. This assistance will be provided for four consecutive years, helping students pursuing a PhD cover expenses related to their studies and research.

Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary shared details about the scheme via social media. He stated that on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, several new initiatives are being undertaken to promote the education and empowerment of the daughters and sisters of Bihar.

The Bihar government has also launched the 'Bihar Ki Beti Startup Chalenge' scheme. Under this, women and daughters starting new businesses will receive financial assistance ranging from ₹50,000 to ₹2 lakh. The objective of this scheme is to provide initial financial support to women for starting businesses and to move them towards financial self-reliance.

The government has also taken initiatives regarding the safety of women and female students. Scooters and motorcycles will be provided for the 'Police Didi' (Abhaya Brigade) initiative; these vehicles will also be officially flagged off.

This initiative aims to strengthen the safety and protection of female students in schools and colleges. These vehicles will enhance the reach and operational capacity of the 'Police Didi' teams.

The state government has set a target to connect one crore women in Bihar with employment opportunities over the next three years. Initiatives such as 'Sudha Sakhi' and veterinary medicine centers managed by women have also been highlighted.

The government maintains that women should not merely be beneficiaries of government schemes but should become active participants in achieving employment, economic self-reliance, and better health.
