In a recent interview, Kangana also raised questions on Ramdev's move from yoga and Ayurveda to business and said that she should not “preach on his character”. While talking to journalist Sudhir Chaudhary, Kangana was asked how Ramdev, who considers himself associated with Sanatan ideology, became her opponent. He said that he feels that his business interests have led him away from the principles of Sanatan Darshan.
Kangana said that when her Swadeshi movement started, the government also encouraged her a lot. But I think he has gone too far in capitalism. He further said that there can be a conflict between Sanatan ideology and capitalism on the basis of how much one takes advantage of the people. He said that at a certain point Sanatan ideology starts to clash with capitalism.
'Swami Ramdev has become a businessman'
Kangana also criticized Ramdev for expanding his business empire beyond Ayurveda, herbs and yoga. He said that after the encouragement he received for Ayurveda, herbs and yoga, he has now ventured into the business of selling vests and underwear. Calling Ramdev a “complete businessman”, Kangana said there is no harm in being a businessman, but don't pretend to be something you are not. His comments come amid the ongoing public spat between the two, which started after Ramdev criticized Kangana's controversial comments about 'Gen Z'.

Kangana's counter attack on Baba Ramdev
During the interview, Kangana was asked about Ramdev's comments on her past. Ramdev, while responding to Kangana's “Generation Gutter” comment about the young protesters, had raised questions about their childhood, youth and past. He said, “What are their qualifications? How has been their childhood? How has been their youth? What have been their earlier exploits? I don't want to talk about such people.”
He described his comments as a sign of “bad thinking” and said his political party should take note of it. Kangana gave a sharp reaction when asked about the comments. He said, was Baba Ramdev hanging like a bat in my bedroom? Did they see me in my youth? What did they see? He further said that I do not understand what he actually saw? They should tell what they saw.
Kangana had earlier said a similar thing on Instagram, in which she had asked Ramdev not to “daydream” about her youth or the bedroom and accused him of relying on rumors and gossip when talking about her personal life. He also mentioned the Supreme Court's action against Ramdev and Patanjali over misleading advertisements.
How did the fight between Kangana and Ramdev start?
This latest controversy is to Kangana's controversial comments about 'Gen Z'. The actor-politician had reacted to the video of the protests at Delhi's Jantar Mantar and called some of the young protesters “Generation Gutter”.

Kangana criticized the language and behavior seen in the videos of the protests and accused some youth of misusing their freedom. His comments were criticized and many objected to the use of the term “generation gutter”.
She later clarified that she was not making a general statement about all youth or all people involved in the protests. Instead, she said she was talking about certain people and women in particular.
After this, Ramdev commented on this controversy and objected to Kangana's talk about the young generation and raised questions on her own background. Kangana reacted on social media following his comments, which further escalated their public feud.
Why did Kangana mention the Supreme Court?
Kangana's reference to the Supreme Court was to the proceedings involving Ramdev and Patanjali over misleading advertisements. In 2024, the Supreme Court heard allegations that Patanjali and its senior executives had made misleading claims about the medicinal properties of its products and also made statements criticizing modern medical practice. The court expressed confidence that there will be no violation of rules to advertising and branding of Patanjali products in future.
Kangana had mentioned the incident in her Instagram reply to Ramdev, saying that he should not question his character based on speculations about his past. Their recent statements show that the dispute has now moved beyond the original dispute over 'Gen Z' and both sides are continuing to make personal attacks on each other.
