Rhiya Ahir Says She Has Worked In Theatre For 13 Years

One of Rhiya’s key arguments is that her entertainment ambitions did not begin after the viral protest. The 27-year-old has said she has been associated with theatre for around 13 years and has been working towards a career in the entertainment industry long before the protest brought her wider attention.

Apart from acting and modelling, Rhiya is also an entrepreneur. She runs Riyasata handcrafted apparel label that works with Indian artisans and promotes locally produced clothing. She has also appeared in music videos and has built a sizeable social media following.

Rhiya’s place inside the Bigg Boss 20 house is not confirmed yet. Salman Khan announced in a new promo that viewers will decide between Rhiya Ahir and Love Gillwith the contestant receiving more votes expected to secure a place in the house.

The concept brings back the “Fans Ka Faisla” twist seen previously, allowing the audience to influence the final contestant lineup even before the season properly begins. Voting is underway, and the result is expected around the show’s grand premiere. Bigg Boss 20hosted by Salman Khan, is scheduled to premiere on September 6, 2026.

For Rhiya, the controversy has now created an unusual situation. The moment that first made her nationally visible is also the reason some people are questioning her reality-TV opportunity.
