Deepinder Goyal’s wearable startup Temple has acquired London-based longevity medicine practice Longevous for an undisclosed sum

The acquisition gives Temple clinical and scientific expertise as the startup prepares to launch its wearable and validate the product’s health- claims

Longevous founders Robert Mohr and Avi Roy will join Temple full time, while the London practice will continue operating under its existing model

Deepinder Goyal’s wearable startup Temple has acquired London-based longevity medicine practice Longevous for an undisclosed sum, strengthening its clinical and scientific teams ahead of the launch of its first product.

Longevous founders Robert Mohr and Avi Roy, along with their team, will join Temple full time, Goyal said in a post on X.

Mohr will join the startup as its chief medical officer. He has nearly two decades of clinical experience and has worked across emergency medicine, preventive medicine, and precision medicine. At Temple, he will oversee the clinical rigour of the startup’s experiments and health- claims.

Meanwhile, Roy will take over as Temple’s head of science. An Oxford-trained biomedical scientist, Roy previously cofounded Founders Health and UDA and worked as a research fellow at the University of Oxford’s Centre for the Advancement of Sustainable Medical Innovation.

Goyal said the two founders had been working with Temple’s science team over the past few months to test its Entropy metric and assess the data collected by its wearable. They also reviewed the startup’s first scientific manuscripts ahead of their submission.

Longevous will continue operating as before as part of Temple, with Mohr and Roy continuing to look after its clients, Goyal added.
