Very good news has come for the youth who are dreaming of doing apprenticeship in Railways. Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC Bhubaneswar) has released the official notification for recruitment to various posts of Act Apprentice under East Coast Railway (ECoR).
Through this bumper recruitment drive, a total of 1599 posts will be filled in different workshops and divisions. The process of online application has started from 26 August 2026. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their online form till 15 September 2026.
Who can apply and what is the age limit?
Educational qualification: The candidate must have passed 10th (Matriculation) with minimum 50% marks from a recognized board. Along with this, it is mandatory to have ITI certificate recognized by NCVT or SCVT in the trade.
Age Limit: The age of the candidate should be minimum 15 years and maximum 24 years as on 15th September 2026. Reserved category candidates (5 years for SC-ST and 3 years for OBC) will be given relaxation in the maximum age limit as per rules.

How will selection be done without examination?
The most important thing about this recruitment process is that no written examination or interview will be taken in it.
Direct selection of the candidates will be done as per the merit list prepared on the basis of 10th class marks and marks obtained in ITI. The final merit list will be prepared by giving 50-50 percent weightage to the marks of both the examinations.
application fees
For RRC ECoR Apprentice Recruitment, General, OBC and EWS candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 100. There is no application fee for SC, ST, Divyang and all women candidates, that is, the application is absolutely free for them. - Register yourself and fill all the required information carefully.
- Upload 10th, ITI marksheet, photo and signature.
- Pay the fees and take a final printout of the filled form and keep it safe.
