Yash-starrer Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is off to a good start at the box office, but the film is also receiving mixed reactions from the audience. The Geetu Mohandas directorial managed to cross Rs 100 crore on its opening day, surpassing Jawan and Dhurandhar Part 1. However, amid its spectacular box office report, many viewers took to social media to share criticism of the film. Soon after the release, many netizens noticed a purported change on a ticket-booking platform that added another dimension to the discussion. The movie released on August 26, and also stars Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi, and Rukmini Vasanth.
Toxic's ratings apparently disappear
Several posts on X claimed that the audience rating of Toxic is not available on ticketing website BookMyShow. The development soon became a topic of discussion, with some users asking why the ratings had supposedly been disabled. Another social media user said Toxic had a rating of around 5.5/10 before the rating section was removed, making it one of the lowest-rated films on the platform.
Some users questioned the decision of the website, while others said the ratings were removed due to the negative response to the film.
However, there has been no official confirmation from BookMyShow that the ratings were removed due to negative audience reaction. There is also no verified evidence that Yash's team or the film's producers were behind any change on the platform.

Social media users blame makers
The alleged disappearance has sparked speculation among sections of the audience. Some users accused the makers of trying to control the film's online reception, while some went so far as to the extent of making claims on Yash's team.
Since these claims are unproven, social media posts alone didn't reveal why the ratings weren't available or if the change was related to the film's performance, or lack thereof. The controversy has, however, added to the online debate surrounding Toxic, especially as audiences seem divided over the movie.
