A great opportunity has emerged for the youth who want to get a job in a reputed educational institution of the country. Actually, Nalanda University has issued an official notification inviting applications for the appointment of eligible candidates to teaching posts in its various schools/departments.

The 19 vacancies released by Nalanda University for teaching posts include 4 posts of Professor, 6 posts of Associate Professor and 9 posts of Assistant Professor. At the same time, among the departments where recruitment has been done, 4 professors are there in Philosophy, Sanskrit, Data Science and AI, 1 each in Science, Technology and Policy Studies; 6 posts of Associate Professor, 1 each in Buddhist Studies, Hindu Studies, Philosophy, Sanskrit, Data Science and AI, and Science, Technology and Policy Studies; And 9 posts of Assistant Professor include 2 posts each in Buddhist Studies, Hindu Studies, Philosophy, Sanskrit and 1 post in Data Science and AI.

The application process for all these posts through online (Google Form) has started from 22nd August and the last date to apply has been fixed as 15th September. In such a situation, the candidates who want to fill the application form for appointment to these posts can go to the official website of Nalanda University and complete their registration process successfully on or before the last date through the application link given in the notification issued for the respective post.

Candidates filling the application form should have a PhD or Post-Doctoral Research, Associate Professor or equivalent position with 3 to 7 years of strong teaching experience including solid experience in guiding Doctoral and Post-Doctoral research, with excellent academic record and international teaching experience at Masters level in the relevant department for the post of Professor from a recognized Institute or University.

For Associate Professor: PhD or post-doctoral research in the relevant subject with excellent academic record and international teaching experience at the Masters level, with at least 3 to 5 years of experience in teaching and research at national and international level, including solid experience in guiding doctoral research.

For Assistant Professor, one must have a PhD or Post-doctoral research with at least 60 per cent marks at Masters level in the relevant subject from an Indian or foreign university, be actively involved in research and have evidence of published work, including at least 3 to 5 publications (e.g. books and/or research/policy papers) published in nationally and internationally reputed peer-reviewed journals.

Eligible candidates will be selected based on scrutiny of applications through shortlisting, written examination, seminars/presentations, interviews, etc., after which the salary of the selected candidates will be in the range of 30,000 to 45,000 US dollars (USD) for Professor, 20,000 to 35,000 USD for Associate Professor and 15,000 to 15,000 USD for Assistant Professor. Will be 25,000 USD per year. Apart from this, other benefits and allowances will also be given to the candidates.

Candidates applying will have to pay the prescribed application fee through online mode, which has been fixed at Rs 500. Candidates should note that your application form will be accepted only after payment of registration fee.
