Tottenham Hotspur have finalised the signing of Omar Marmoush from Manchester City on a season-long loan, with the agreement also said to include a £60 million obligation to turn the move into a permanent transfer next summer.

The Egypt international is set to become another marquee addition to Roberto De Zerbi’s squad in what has been an extraordinary summer of spending, with Spurs already committing more than £300m towards strengthening the side.

Marmoush joined City from Eintracht Frankfurt in January 2025 and went on to make 62 appearances for the club, scoring 16 goals. His switch comes only days after Spurs also completed a major deal for City winger Savinho, with the Brazilian arriving in a package worth around £85m.

The north London club have been among the Premier League’s busiest teams in the transfer market this summer, also adding Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes and Jan Paul van Hecke, while Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi have joined on free transfers.

Marmoush is the latest piece in De Zerbi’s rebuilding project as Tottenham get ready for the new season. The Italian head coach took charge in March and helped the club secure Premier League survival before receiving significant backing in the transfer market.
