Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav has started preparations to avoid any disturbance and haste regarding the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. He wants to bring every equation to the ground in this election, so that his government can be formed in UP in 2027. He has been losing the elections to BJP and CM Yogi Adityanath for the last two times. Taking lessons from both these defeats, SP is continuously busy in expanding its successful slogan PDA. On one hand, Samajwadi Party and Akhilesh Yadav are continuously attacking BJP and Yogi government and on the other hand, they are giving green signal to field candidates on the assembly seats.

In this series, Akhilesh Yadav met two leaders in the capital Lucknow on Tuesday. Both these leaders are from Balrampur. A former Balrampur MP Haji Rizwan Zaheer and his daughter Zeba Rizwan. This meeting was not just like that, but in this, SP finalized its candidate for almost one assembly seat.

Talk about Tulsipur assembly seat

Actually, this thing has come to light because of Tulsipur assembly seat of Balrampur. Tulsipur seat is such a seat from where Bharatiya Janata Party has been winning the elections for two consecutive times. BJP's Kailash Nath Shukla is a two-time MLA from here. Samajwadi Party has stood third on this seat every time in the 2022 and 2017 elections and has had to face defeat here.

Zeba Rizwan caught in Tulsipur

Interestingly, Zeba Rizwan has been ahead of Samajwadi Party in both the elections on Tulsipur Assembly seat. That means Jiba has got more votes than SP in both the elections. She has been a major factor in the defeat of SP. In the 2017 assembly elections, Zeba Rizwan stood second by contesting on a Congress ticket, whereas in the 2022 elections, she stood second as an independent.

2022 assembly elections

The 2022 elections of UP were interesting. For the first time in this election, BJP formed the government for the second time by securing consecutive bumper victories. BJP got 255 out of 403 assembly seats, while Samajwadi Party could win only 111 seats. Talking about Tulsipur assembly seat, BJP's Kailash Nath Shukla had won from here by a margin of 35,781 votes. He got a total of 87,032 votes and the vote percentage was 42.92 percent. Independent candidate Zeba Rizwan was at second place. By securing 25.27 percent of the votes, Jeba had won the votes of 51,251 people.

At the same time, Samajwadi Party had fielded its former MLA from Tulsipur (won in 2012) Abdul Mashud Khan as its candidate. Abdul Mashud got 42,815 and stood third. He got 21.11 percent votes. Apart from this, the BSP candidate got only 8,118 votes and the Congress candidate got only 4,171 votes.

2017 assembly elections

In the 2017 assembly elections in UP, BJP's Kailash Nath Shukla got 62,296 votes, while his vote percentage was about 32 percent. Kailash was elected MLA for the first time from Tulsipur. Congress had made Zeba Rizwan its candidate from here. Jeba contested the election brilliantly against SP candidate Abdul Mashud Khan and secured 43,637 votes. Whereas Abdul Mashud got 36,549 votes this time. BSP candidate got 23,273 votes.

In this way, in the last two assembly elections, Zeba Rizwan has stood second behind the Samajwadi Party candidate from Tulsipur seat. If SP had made Zeba its candidate or taken his support, this seat would have been with SP. The meeting of Zeba Rizwan and his father and former SP MP Rizwan Zaheer with SP chief on Tuesday shows that Akhilesh Yadav has given the green signal to Tulsipur seat.
