US government under attack from Chinese hackers. Recently, they attacked several websites including the US Department of Justice, the US space research agency NASA, and the Federal Reserve. Washington claims that hackers supported by the Chinese government are behind it. But there was no special damage in the Saiban attack.
According to the US Department of Justice, this operation was carried out using two hacking platforms named 'Qscan' and 'Qtyrouter'. Allegedly, a company in Nanjing, China developed these platforms. The Chinese government and military have direct links with them. They have been targeting the US government since 2018. However, apart from America, hackers have also targeted other countries. According to the US investigators, the hackers hide their movements using different networks spread over more than 130 countries around the world. However, Donald Trump's administration has not clarified whether any documents of the US government have been stolen or not. However, Beijing has not yet given any response on the whole issue.
US government and private networks have been the target of multiple cyber attacks by Chinese hackers in the past few years. Last March, the FBI told the US Congress that hackers had launched a major attack on its network. Chinese hackers also carried out cyber attacks on US government agencies, the US Congressional Network and several major telecom companies.
