Toxic box office collection day 2: There was a huge decline in the box office earnings of Yash’s film ‘Toxic’ on the second day. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film, like big pan-India films like ‘Dhurandhar 2’, struggled to maintain the growth in earnings on the second day. With a net opening of Rs 101.10 crore in India and a worldwide gross of Rs 140.75 crore, ‘Toxic’ was ahead of many big films on the first day. However, the decline in collections, number of shows and occupancy on the second day changed the picture, leaving it behind the second day figures of ‘Dhurandhar 2’, ‘Pushpa 2’, ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ and ‘RRR’.

‘Toxic’ earned Rs 36.40 crore nett through 22,629 shows in India on the second day. Overseas, it earned Rs 10 crore that day, taking its total overseas gross to Rs 26.25 crore. In two days, the film’s gross in India was Rs 164.50 crore, nett in India was Rs 137.50 crore and worldwide gross was Rs 190.75 crore. On the first day, the film recorded a Bharat net collection of Rs 101.10 crore from 24,579 shows, with an overall occupancy of 56.1%. On the second day, the number of shows dropped to 22,629 and occupancy dropped to 26.6%, with collections also falling to Rs 36.40 crore nett.

Hindi language had the highest contribution on the second day, earning Rs 23 crore from 16,251 shows with 26% occupancy. Kannada language earned Rs 8.50 crore from 1,678 shows and recorded the highest occupancy of 51%. The Telugu version earned ₹3 crore from 2,325 shows with 21% occupancy, while the Tamil version earned ₹1.50 crore from 2,016 shows with 17% occupancy. The Malayalam version earned ₹0.40 crore from 359 shows with 32% occupancy.

Comparison with other films

The second day collection of ‘Toxic’ was much less than other big pan-India blockbuster films. ‘Dhurandhar 2’ earned around ₹80.72 crore (net), ‘Pushpa 2’ earned ₹93.80 crore (net), ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ earned ₹90.50 crore (net) and ‘RRR’ earned ₹86.70 crore (net) on the second day in India.
However, ‘Toxic’ performed better than Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar’ on the first and second days. Ranveer Singh’s film earned ₹28 crore (net) from 14,057 shows on the opening day, taking its gross collection in India to ₹33.60 crore and worldwide gross collection to ₹41.35 crore. On the second day it had earned approximately ₹33.10 crore. The total India net collection of the film for two days in all languages ​​was approximately ₹58 crore.
