Jabalpur A Defense Production Hub : “A day ahead of Rakshabandhan festival, a new project for border security is being launched in the cultural capital of Jabalpur. Indian Army is ushering in a new era with the T-Series Tank Overhaul Project. The Armored Factory of Jabalpur has earned special recognition across the country for its hard work. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that times are changing under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said, today the state’s foreign exports have crossed ₹76,000 crore. He said that a wave of industrial investment is flowing in the state, which will open the doors of economic prosperity for us. The Godrej Group factory worth around ₹400 crore was inaugurated in Malanpur only yesterday. This is a big leap towards the economic prosperity of the state. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said Madhya Pradesh is one of the major states which has passed a bill in the assembly to implement Uniform Civil Code. UCC will provide equal opportunities and rights to people of all religions – Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs and Christians.

Union Defense Minister Singh said that our youth will be an important link in nation building. The perception of the world towards India has changed. The defense sector has made unprecedented progress in the last 12 years. In 2014, our domestic defense output was just Rs.46,000 crore, which has now reached Rs.1,80,000 crore. India’s defense exports were around Rs 1,000 crore in 2014, which has now reached Rs 39,000 crore.
He said, we are aiming to increase exports to Rs 50,000 crore by 2030. Our tanks are a death trap and an iron wall for enemies in ground combat. In recent years, the Indian Army has received 4,004 tanks. He said that now the country’s total tank overhaul capacity will reach 230 per year. We must be alert to the new challenges of the world. We no longer need to depend on others in the defense sector. We will produce and upgrade weapons for our soldiers. In future, India will become a global hub for defense manufacturing.
