Firozabad. On the occasion of Rakshabandhan, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has started a free bus service for the women of the state with the aim of honoring motherly power. In this sequence, a grand program was organized in the Police Line Auditorium. Public representatives, administrative officers and a large number of women participated in the program.

Minister of State (Independent Charge) Home Guard and Civil Defense Dharamveer Prajapati, Sadar MLA Manish Asija, Tundla MLA Prempal Dhangar, District Magistrate Santosh Kumar Sharma, BJP District President Uday Pratap Singh, Mayor Kamini Rathore, Metropolitan Vice President Ramnaresh Katara, Chief Development Officer Shatrohan Vaish, Additional District Magistrate V. and Ra. were present as chief guests in the program. Kalpana Jaiswal, Additional District Magistrate Namami Gange Mohanlal Gupta and other officers and public representatives were present.

Emphasis on respect, security and self-reliance

Chief guest Dharamveer Prajapati laid special emphasis on the three major dimensions of women empowerment, respect, security and self-reliance. He said that many public welfare schemes are being run by the Central and State Government for the all-round development, security of women and to make them self-reliant. The benefits of these schemes are continuously being extended to women.

He said that on the occasion of Rakshabandhan, the facility of free bus travel has been made available to the mothers and sisters of the state. Also talked about providing free bus travel facility for women above 60 years of age. He said that the purpose of this facility is to not let women depend on anyone for transportation. The Minister said that compared to the previous governments, law and order has become much stronger during the tenure of the present government. The benefits of public welfare schemes are being extended to the last person without any discrimination. The central and state governments are working with the basic mantra of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas.

Sisters should tie the thread of defense along with brothers to the soldiers too.

Sadar MLA Manish Asija said that on the occasion of Rakshabandhan, the government has started the facility of free bus travel for three days for all the sisters of the state. He appealed to the sisters to show their respect and gratitude to their brothers as well as the soldiers who protect the country's borders by tying Raksha Sutra.

Tundla MLA Prempal Dhangar said that Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar Scheme has been launched by the government. On the occasion of Rakshabandhan, the government has done the work of honoring motherly power by giving the gift of free bus travel to women. Mayor Kamini Rathore and BJP District President Uday Pratap Singh and other speakers also addressed the program and expressed their views on women empowerment and schemes run by the government in the interest of women.

Appeal to include names of 18 year old women in voter list

At the end of the program, District Magistrate Santosh Kumar Sharma said that the respect and safety of women is being promoted through the Mission Shakti campaign. Addressing the women, he said that during the revision campaign, those women who have completed 18 years of age and whose names were left out of being included in the voter list, must get their names added to the voter list. The District Magistrate appealed to the women to take advantage of the government's public welfare schemes and be aware of their rights. Deputy District Magistrate Sudarshan Kumar and other administrative officers, public representatives and women were present in the program.
