Fifth option: A fifth option may be added alongside the existing four options for each question.
'None of the above' option: The fifth option will be for questions where the candidate feels none of the provided options is the correct answer.
OMR sheet submission process: One OMR sheet must be submitted to the invigilator after the exam.
Option to take the second sheet along: Candidates will be able to take the second OMR sheet with them.
Why is the fifth option being added?
According to reports, the Board plans to introduce a fifth option—' None of the above'—in addition to the existing four options for each question. If a candidate feels that none of the four given options is the correct answer, they can select this fifth option. In other words, candidates will have an additional option alongside the standard four to answer the question.
What happens if 20 questions are left blank?
An important existing rule for the HTET exam will remain in effect. If a candidate leaves 20 questions blank on the OMR sheet, they will be disqualified from the exam. This means the rule regarding leaving questions blank will persist despite the proposed changes.
