Located in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, the restaurant reopened on Wednesday after the Petaling Jaya City Council shut it down two days earlier for occupying part of a public space. The restaurant was closed just 10 days after opening.

Speaking to China Pressa restaurant representative said rectification work began immediately after the closure notice was issued.

“The main issue was that our barbecue grills had been placed in the back alley, occupying public space. We immediately rearranged the equipment in the kitchen that day to make room for the barbecue grills,” he said.

He said the restaurant had expanded its kitchen facilities after seeing strong demand. The additional equipment was intended to increase production capacity and reduce customer waiting times.

As part of the rectification, the restaurant reduced the number of stoves in its kitchen from four to two, freeing up space for three barbecue grills.

The representative also appealed to customers for patience as the restaurant adjusts to its reduced kitchen capacity.

“Before the city council inspected us, we had already rented an upstairs unit to serve as an additional kitchen and dining area. However, it is still undergoing renovations and is expected to be completed in a few more weeks,” he said.

Meanwhile, the representative dismissed rumors that Six Hub Roast House had been ordered to close because its employees had not received typhoid vaccinations.

However, he acknowledged that the restaurant had overlooked the submission of certain documents, which have since been handed to the city council.

“After we submitted the outstanding documents, they immediately arranged for officers to inspect our premises and approved the removal of the closure seals,” he said.

Despite the temporary closure, the restaurant continues to attract interest from diners. A group of customers was already queuing outside the restaurant on Wednesday even before the closure seals had been removed.

Actor Mat Yeung had earlier addressed the closure in an interview with Sing Tao Headlinesaying local authorities had found that some items from the restaurant had been placed in the back alley.

The actor opened the Hong Kong-style roast meat restaurant on August 14, serving honey-glazed char siu, crispy-skinned roast pork (siew yuk), Hong Kong-style pepper-roasted duck, and poached chicken.

The 45-year-old Hong Kong actor is also a television host and businessman. He has been active in the entertainment industry in over three decades.

He starred in popular Hong Kong dramas such as “Be Home for Dinner”, “The Defected and My Commissioned Lover”. In 2017 he won the Most Improved Male Artiste award by TVB, the largest TV broadcaster in Hong Kong.
