The political ground has started being prepared for the assembly elections to be held in Uttar Pradesh in the year 2027. All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) President Asaduddin Owaisi has made a scathing attack on Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav. Owaisi has invited Akhilesh Yadav for alliance in a warning manner. He clearly said that if the SP chief still does not take the right decision, his fate in UP may be like that of the opposition leaders of Bihar.
Owaisi's direct target on Akhilesh Yadav
While giving a message to Akhilesh Yadav, Owaisi said that there is still time left and if he wants, he can come together. Giving the example of Bihar elections, he said that AIMIM had asked for only five seats there, but the opposition alliance ignored his request. According to Owaisi, Akhilesh Yadav himself had reached Bihar with his entire team of Muslim MPs to defeat him in the elections. He tauntedly said that if there is division of secular votes in UP, then the situation of Akhilesh Yadav will be similar to that of Tejashwi Yadav in Bihar.
'Muslim love is just an election gimmick'
The AIMIM chief took on both Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and SP president Akhilesh Yadav. He alleged that the love of these leaders towards Muslim society is just a show and political drama. Owaisi said that whenever it comes to the rights of Muslims in the state and the atrocities committed on them, the tongues of these leaders remain silent. He claims that the so-called secular parties never want any independent and strong leadership to emerge from the Muslim community.
Election equation and challenge of 2027
It is noteworthy that the term for 403 seats of Uttar Pradesh Assembly is ending in 2027. It is mandatory to achieve the figure of 202 seats for majority in the state. Owaisi's aggressive mobilization on the issue of Muslim voters just before the elections has intensified the political equations of the state. On one hand, Congress and SP have been accusing him of benefiting BJP, on the other hand, this new maneuver of Owaisi has posed a new political challenge to the main opposition camp.
