Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab's media in-charge Baltej Pannu, while attacking other parties along with Congress, said that the attitude of the parties towards minorities, especially the Sikh brotherhood, is the same. The parties are completely failing to understand the pain of the victims of the 1984 Sikh genocide.
Everyone saw Congress's reaction
Pannu reminded that everyone had seen the reaction of Congress after the death of Sajjan Kumar, who was convicted by the court in the 1984 Sikh massacre. Congress leader Deepinder Hooda had even called Sajjan Kumar his “ideal”, although later he was seen retracting his statement. At that time, Bharatiya Janata Party had also strongly criticized Deepinder Hooda and Congress. Three members each of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) participated in the last rites of Sajjan Kumar. These include West Delhi MP Kamaljit Sehrawat, South Delhi MP Rambir Singh Bidhuri and North-West Delhi MP Yoginder Chandolia.
Same attitude towards minority
Baltej Pannu said in a sharp tone that these are the same people who never shared any sorrow by visiting the settlements of the displaced Sikh community in 1984 or meeting their families, but the death of Sajjan Kumar, who was convicted by the court, is the most painful for them. He said that whether it is Congress or BJP, the attitude of both the parties towards minorities has been the same and this has now been exposed in front of the entire country.
