Now after this video surfaced, the reaction of Australian captain Pat Cummins has also come to the fore. Posting 'X', Cummins expressed concern about Imran Khan's health and wrote that he should be treated with the same respect he deserves.

Australia captain Pat Cummins posted a post on his social media handle 'X' on August 28, after the broadcaster aired the interview of Imran Khan's two sons Suleiman and Qasim. Actually, Cummins reposted a video in which Greg Chappell is giving his reaction about Imran Khan.

Pat Cummins wrote in the post, 'I support the views of Greg Chappell and other former international captains here. I hope that his medical checkup will be allowed to be done properly as per the court order, and his family members will continue to be allowed to meet him. I hope that Imran Khan is treated with the respect he deserves.

Imran Khan is in jail since 2023

Former Pakistan captain and Prime Minister Imran Khan is lodged in Rawalpindi's Adiala Jail since 2023. He has been kept in jail after being convicted on corruption charges. Recently, his health checkup was done in a government hospital in Islamabad, after which he was again sent to jail. 73 year old Imran Khan has been in jail for almost 3 years. Many times it has been said by his family that no one is allowed to meet Imran Khan and he is being tortured. Now in an interview given to Sky Sports Network, both of Imran Khan's sons, Suleman and Qasim, said that they are deeply concerned about their father's safety and his life is in danger.

Veteran cricketers and former captains from all over the world have united regarding the deteriorating health of Imran Khan. The main role behind this humanitarian appeal is that of former Australian captain Greg Chappell, who took the initiative to send a letter to the Pakistan government. This campaign has also got full support from the stalwarts of Indian cricket, which include the names of former captain Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev and Dilip Vengsarkar. The first letter under this campaign of Greg Chappell was sent in February 2026, which was signed by 14 former international captains. After this, another letter was sent again in August 2026, in which the number of supporting captains increased to more than 21. Indian legend Sunil Gavaskar has been a part of this appeal both times demanding the health and respectful behavior of Imran Khan.
