New Delhi. The discussion regarding the 8th Pay Commission is intense among the central employees. However, the new basic salary from Level-1 to Level-10 has not been officially announced yet. Therefore, the figures being reported on social media and in various reports are only estimates based on possible fitment factors.

At present, different employee organizations are putting forward their demands regarding salary increase and minimum basic salary. The actual figure of the new salary will be clear only after the final recommendation is received and approved by the Central Government.

How much can salary change due to fitment factor?

The minimum basic salary of Level-1 in the 7th Pay Commission is Rs 18,000. If fitment factor of 2.1 is applied then it can be around Rs 37,800. At a factor of 2.57, it is estimated to reach around Rs 46,260 and at a higher factor like 3.83, it is estimated to reach Rs 69,000. Similarly, the current basic pay of Level-10 is Rs 56,100. Depending on different possible fitment factors, it can reach around Rs 1.17 lakh to Rs 2.15 lakh.

Estimated new salary from Level-1 to Level 10?

Level-1 The current basic salary of the employees is Rs 18,000, which can reach Rs 37,800 at 2.1 fitment factor, Rs 46,260 at 2.57, Rs 51,480 at 2.86 and Rs 69,000 at 3.83.

level 2 The current basic pay is Rs 19,900, which can range from Rs 41,790 to Rs 76,217 depending on different fitment factors.

Level-3 The current basic salary of the employees is Rs 21,700, which is estimated to increase from Rs 45,570 to Rs 83,111.

Level-4 The current basic pay is Rs 25,500, which can range from Rs 53,550 to Rs 97,665 depending on various possible fitment factors.

Level-5 The basic salary of the employees is currently Rs 29,200, which is estimated to reach Rs 61,320 to Rs 1,11,836 based on the new fitment factor.

Level-6 The current basic pay is Rs 35,400, which can go up to Rs 74,340 on 2.1 factor and Rs 1,35,700 on higher fitment factor.

Level-7 The current basic salary of the employees is Rs 44,900, which according to estimates can increase from Rs 94,290 to Rs 1,71,967.

Level-8 The current basic pay is Rs 47,600, which can range from Rs 99,960 to Rs 1,82,308 depending on different fitment factors.

level-9 The current basic salary of the employees is Rs 53,100, which is expected to increase from Rs 1,11,510 to Rs 2,03,373.

level-10 That means the current basic pay of officer level is Rs 56,100, which can range from Rs 1,17,810 to Rs 2,15,100 depending on the possible fitment factor.
