State Sports Investiture Ceremony organized on 29th August on National Sports Day

A total of 125 players, coaches and judges will receive awards and honors for the years 2023-24, 2024-25 and 2025-26.

Union Minister of State Mr. Tokhan Sahu, Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh and Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Sharma will attend as special guests.

Raipur. 28 August 2026. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai will present state sports decorations to 82 players, coaches and judges on National Sports Day, the birth anniversary of hockey magician Major Dhyanchand. He will also give the Chief Minister Trophy to 43 players and coaches of 5 teams. The State Sports Investiture Ceremony has been organized by the Sports and Youth Welfare Department at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in the capital Raipur on August 29 from 4 pm.

In the dignified ceremony of State Sports Decoration, a total of 125 outstanding players, coaches and judges will be given awards and honors for the years 2023-24, 2024-25 and 2025-26. These include Shaheed Rajiv Pandey Award, Shaheed Kaushal Yadav Award, Veer Hanuman Singh Award, Shaheed Pankaj Vikram Award, Shaheed Vinod Choubey Award and Chief Minister Trophy.

Deputy Chief Minister and Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Shri Arun Sao will preside over the state sports investiture ceremony. Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs Shri Tokhan Sahu, Speaker of Chhattisgarh Assembly Dr. Raman Singh and Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma will attend it as special guests. All the members of the State Cabinet, MP Shri Brijmohan Aggarwal, Chairman of the State Youth Commission Shri Vishwa Vijay Singh Tomar, all the MLAs of Raipur district, Mayor Mrs. Meenal Choubey and District Panchayat President Shri Naveen Kumar Aggarwal will attend the function as special guests.
