Brighton and Hearts have found out who they will face in the UEFA Conference League after Friday’s draw.
Both British clubs are set to welcome AS Monaco in this season’s competition, which was won by Crystal Palace last term.
The Seagulls will also head to Spain and Greece to play Getafe and Panathinaikos respectively, while Hearts have a lengthy trip to Turkey where they will meet Mo Salah’s Trabzonspor.
With Premier League teams having won three of the last five editions of the Conference League, Brighton manager Fabian Hürzeler will believe his side can also make a strong run in the tournament.
He said: “In every cup competition you have chances so of course, in certain moments you need a little bit of luck, a little bit of momentum but overall I think the success from the English teams is also the belief, the confidence to do it so we know it is a different year, a different area so let’s see how it’s going this season.”
