Gold Rate Today in India: A weakening US dollar has boosted gold prices today, while silver has declined due to subdued industrial demand. Regarding gold, prices have risen for the second consecutive day following a single-day drop. Over these two days, the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold has increased by ₹500, and 22-carat gold by ₹460. Before this, on August 27, the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold had fallen by ₹3,110, and 22-carat gold by ₹2,850. As for today, the price of 10 grams of both 24-carat and 22-carat gold has risen by ₹10 in the capital, Delhi. Meanwhile, after remaining stable for six consecutive days, silver prices have declined for the second straight day, with the cost of one kilogram dropping by ₹5,100 over this period.

Silver prices drop for the second consecutive day after six days of stability.
As for silver, prices have fallen today—marking the second consecutive day of decline following six days of stability. The price of one kilogram of silver has dropped by ₹5,100 over the past two days. Before the recent six-day period of price stability, silver had surged by ₹10,500 over two consecutive days, following a ₹5,000 drop on August 19. As for today, the price of silver in Delhi has decreased by ₹100, bringing it to ₹2,54,900 per kilogram. It is trading at the same rate in Mumbai and Kolkata. However, in Chennai, the price stands at ₹2,64,900 per kilogram, making it the most expensive among the four major metropolitan cities.
**What is the outlook?**
Viral Shah, President and Head of Brokerage at 360 ONE, states that if US bond yields soften, gold and silver prices could rise by up to 10% from current levels over the next 6 to 8 months. He believes that geopolitical events and trends regarding high US bond yields will continue to provide support to these metals. He further added that a weakening dollar could offer additional gains.
