You can find detailed information here about the current rates for domestic and commercial gas cylinders in your city.
Following the price adjustments made at the beginning of the month, there has been no further hike for domestic gas consumers as of August 29. Prices for the 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder remain unchanged. Meanwhile, businesses using commercial LPG cylinders received some relief earlier in August; oil companies had reduced the price of the 19 kg commercial cylinder by more than ₹200.
The last major change in domestic LPG cylinder prices occurred in June 2026. Since then, there have been no revisions to domestic cylinder rates in August. Consequently, if you are booking a gas cylinder today, you will pay the rate applicable to your city.

Commercial gas became cheaper in August
Oil marketing companies reduced commercial LPG cylinder prices on August 1, 2026. In Delhi, the price of the 19 kg cylinder dropped from ₹2,930 to ₹2,738, providing customers with a relief of ₹192 per cylinder. In Kolkata, following a reduction of ₹209, the new rate stands at ₹2,872.50.
Why haven't domestic cylinder prices changed?
Domestic and commercial LPG prices are revised differently. There has been no recent revision to the price of the 14.2 kg domestic cylinder. The price remains ₹942 in Delhi, ₹941.50 in Mumbai, ₹968 in Kolkata, and ₹957.50 in Chennai.
When do LPG prices change?
Oil marketing companies generally review LPG prices at the beginning of each month. Prices for both domestic and commercial cylinders are subject to change. However, a price revision does not necessarily occur every month. Therefore, if you are booking an LPG cylinder—even towards the end of the month—be sure to check the current rate in your city, as LPG prices can vary from city to city.
