New Delhi, 29 August 2026: Special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court has taken cognizance of the charge sheet of NIA regarding the Red Fort blast case. Central investigating agency NIA has filed a charge sheet against a total of 13 accused in this case. This charge sheet includes accused including Omar Un Nabi, Aamir Rashid Ali, Jasir Bilal Wani, Muzammil, Adil Ahmed Rather, Mufti Irfan, Shaheen, Soyab, Bilal and Yasir Dar.

Terrorist doctor Omar un Nabi has died. This investigation of NIA is spread to Jammu-Kashmir, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Delhi-NCR. During the investigation of this blast case, statements of a total of 588 witnesses have been recorded. More than 395 documents and more than 200 seized evidence have been made part of the charge sheet by the NIA. The special NIA court has fixed the next hearing of this case on September 9.

• The blast took place on 10 November

On November 10, 2025, a bomb exploded in a car outside the Red Fort in Delhi, in which 15 people were killed and many were injured. According to NIA, all these accused were associated with the terrorist organization 'Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind', which is a branch of Al-Qaeda. The agency has claimed that the accused had started a campaign named 'Operation Heavenly Hind', the main objective of which was to spread fundamentalist ideology and hatch a conspiracy against the democratic government.

Most of the accused included in the NIA charge sheet are doctors and highly educated professionals, who became part of this conspiracy after being influenced by fundamentalism. After not receiving the report of the earlier order on the application to telephone facility of terrorist Tufail Ahmed Bhat, the court has directed the concerned jail superintendent to be present in person or through video conferencing. NIA has told the court that further investigation in this matter is still going on.
