Pune: The teams Royal Strikers and Shea Warriors XI gave a brilliant performance in the Under 19 Women's Interclub One Day Cricket Tournament organized by Ecole Sports Foundation. Royal Strikers team defeated Victory Queens by 3 wickets in the first match held at Rajgad Sports Club Cricket Ground in Wagholi.

Batting first, Victory Quins scored 172 for 4 in 30 overs. In this, Mansi Tajane contributed 44 runs and Aradhya Chaudhary contributed 34 runs. In reply, Royal Strikers achieved the target by losing 7 wickets in 29.2 overs. Shruti Gethe scored an unbeaten 69 off 67 balls with 5 fours and 3 sixes. Lavanya Deshwandikar added 14 runs.

Aggressive bowling by Madhura, Kalyani

In the second match, on the strength of Kalyani Kute's penetrating bowling, Shi Warriors XI easily won by 6 wickets against the Lady Legend team. Batting first, Lady Legend's entire team was bowled out for 119 runs in 27 overs. Shraddha Jagtap scored the highest 46 runs. Madhura S from Shi Warriors. She took 3 wickets in 11 runs and Kalyani Kute took 2 wickets in 11 runs. Shi Warriors chased down the target of 120 runs for victory by scoring 121 for 4 in 24 overs. Aradhya Botwe (38 runs), Sanika Lokre (17 runs not out) and Niyati Sadgir (12 runs not out) sealed the win for the team.
