Ingredients for Paneer Kathi Rolls

  • 200 grams paneer
  • 1 medium sized onion
  • 1 capsicum
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric
  • 1 tsp red chillies
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp chaat masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 to 2 tbsp oil
  • 4 to 5 hives
  • 2 to 3 teaspoons green chutney
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • A little finely chopped coriander
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Butter or oil as needed

First, cut the paneer into small cubes and keep aside. After this, finely chop onion, tomato and capsicum. Now add some oil in a pan and heat it well. Add ginger-garlic paste and onion to it. When the onion softens a bit, add capsicum and tomatoes and saute for a few minutes. Now add turmeric, red chilli, garam masala, chaat masala and salt and mix all the ingredients well. Add paneer pieces to the prepared masala and mix gently. Do not cook paneer for too long. Finally add lemon juice and coriander and switch off the flame. Heat a tawa and roast the poli lightly. Spread green chutney on the poli. Add paneer curd, finely chopped onion and coriander to it. Fold the polli in from both sides and roll tightly. Apply some butter or oil on a pan and fry the rolls lightly. The roll is ready when the outer crust is slightly crispy.

Keep in mind while making Paneer Kathi Rolls

  • If the paneer is cooked too long, it may harden, so reduce the time.
  • To make the roll tastier, you can add some tomato sauce along with green chutney on the roll.
  • If the onion and capsicum are kept a little crispy, the taste of the roll will be even better.
